Bloom Elementary glass installation

Alexander Construction Service’s ongoing residential work continues to define it.

But in addition to our home remodeling and construction projects, we have worked in partnership with the local community to sustain and improve historic Bloom Elementary school.

The Student Glass Art Project at Bloom Elementary was a concept brought to Jefferson County Public Schools by Alexander Construction Services principal Peg Coots Alexander in 2001.

All aspects of the project were coordinated by Peg from concept to fundraising, and fabrication to installation. The concept was embraced by the community and the architect, and every student participated.

The project is installed in the entryway of the school, and will be enjoyed for years to come. Next time you’re close by, we encourage you to drop by and visit.

Contemporary Kitchen

Corian surfaces combined with a bamboo 2 level surface area, textured glass in maple cabinets and “theatre style” track lights are a perfect solution for this unique home with an original V- groove ceiling.

Kitchen and Family Room addition

The kitchen was opened up with rear wall removal. The family room is part of the addition area. Cabinets are maple, surfaces of soapstone, and flooring hardwood.

A Cook’s Kitchen

An island of concrete with slate inlay picks up color from the granite surfaces on the surrounding cabinets. Antique white cabinets with a coffee glaze blend with stained cabinets, and side by side ovens give an eclectic, yet warm feeling to this kitchen. This kitchen functions non-stop, and the central cook-top invites conversation.

This new kitchen resides in an early 1900s home. The attention to detail in the windows, trim, and wood flooring maintain the historical integrity of this home.

Kitchen with Silestone

Incorporating earth tones, and copper colors in the backsplash of the cooktop, a focal point was created. The surfaces are Silestone, and cabinet hardware picks up on the style of appliance pulls.

Kitchen with Antique Stove

Maple cabinets were fitted to this antique stove for these antique collectors. The back splash is custom designed, fired copper. These details make this kitchen “one of a kind.”

Condo Kitchen

For this complete remodel, a wall was removed to open the dining and eating areas. The remodel included new tile, custom cabinets, lighting, and hardwood flooring. Now this condo sports a kitchen with flair, providing comfort for family gatherings, grandchildren visits, and quiet time at home.

Bath with Hidden Radiator

Space for enlarging this small bath came from opening into an oversized bedroom. The radiator is hidden between the vanity bowls in custom cabinets. Colorful glass tile enlivens this room.

Bath with Glass Walls

An older home with no large master bath converted a bedroom to a much more practical bathroom for this couple. The existing bath converted to some additional closet space. Frosted glass doors, carrara shower bench, a new wall radiator that doubles as a towel warmer, speakers, and a whirlpool tub overlooking Cherokee park add personality to this space.
